April 24 to 28

Field trip is April 27th.  We have a very limited number of tickets and chaperones have already been established.  If you had hoped to attend and have not already confirmed with the teacher please accept our apologies and consider coming to our next and final trip on June 1.

This week we will begin a math unit that includes some geometry.  We will continue to look at earth materials and engineering.  In Lang. Arts we are reading a story called The Goat in the Rug.

Second grade is hosting a special “Passport Program” in which parents are invited to come to speak about a different country or place on the globe that they have some knowledge about.  Presentations are short (15 minutes max) nd include pictures, food sample, clothing etc that teach us something about another place.  If you would like to present please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible.

April 27th is the final PTO meeting and it will honor parent volunteers from the school year.  Please attend if you are able.

Thank you for all the snacks that have been coming in!  If you have not contributed snack in some time please contribute something for the whole group.
